About First Responder Relief Fund

Standing Strong for Those Who Stand for Us

The First Responder Relief Fund (FRRF) is a national nonprofit organization founded in 2025 after the devastating Kerr County flooding. Inspired by the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of first responders during this disaster, FRRF was created to provide ongoing support to the individuals and agencies who keep our communities safe.

Our purpose is simple: to ensure first responders, their families, and their organizations have the resources, support, and care they need before, during, and after the call.

Our Mission

First Responder Relief Fund provides support and resources to first responder organizations, their crews, and their families — ensuring they have what they need to serve and protect our communities.

FRRF proudly supports a wide range of emergency personnel, including:

  • Firefighters
  • EMTs and paramedics
  • Law enforcement officers
  • 911 dispatchers and emergency communications teams
  • ER nurses, critical care providers, and hospital-based first responders
  • Flight medics and flight nurses (Ok, fine. The pilots can join too)

These professionals are the first line of protection during emergencies, disasters, and life-threatening situations. Our role is to strengthen theirs.

What FRRF Does for First Responders

FRRF focuses on practical, high-impact programs that support first responder wellness, readiness, and resilience. Our services include:

Our National Chapter Network

FRRF is a growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by a chapter-based structure. Each chapter works under centralized leadership to maintain mission consistency, while retaining the flexibility to address the specific needs of their local first responder community.

Our board brings over 50 years of combined experience in EMS, fire, law enforcement, and emergency response — ensuring our programs are shaped by real frontline insight.

Our Core Values

  • Service: We exist to support first responders and the communities they protect.
  • Integrity: Transparency, accountability, and trust guide every decision.
  • Readiness: We invest in preparation, training, and rapid response capabilities.
  • Community: We strengthen connections between responders and local residents.
  • Compassion: Every program is built on appreciation, care, and genuine support.

FRRF does not engage in political or religious activity. Our focus is solely on supporting first responders and their families.

Why Our Work Matters

First responders face increasing call volumes, rising mental and physical strain, and expanding responsibilities in both everyday emergencies and large-scale disasters. Many departments lack the resources to fully meet these demands, and rarely do they get help - or even a thank you - from the community.

FRRF fills these gaps by providing critical support, disaster readiness, and community-driven assistance and appreciation where it’s needed most.

When communities invest in their first responders, everyone becomes safer, stronger, and more resilient.

Join Us in Supporting First Responders

Whether through donations, volunteering, or chapter involvement, every contribution strengthens the safety net that protects our nation’s frontline heroes.

Together, we can ensure first responders always have what they need — so they can continue answering the call when it matters most.
